I, Marianne Danling, living in Berlin on my 22th year, am the owner of the company people+people and I work with intercultural communication and cultural understanding as a consultant in global companies and as a lecturer.
My tools to effective communication
Our own cultural ground rules often aren't valid in other cultures - not even in the different departments of the same firm. Therefore success in negotiation and co-operation requires an understanding of our cultural differences.
The way I teach
It can be individual training, group talks or workshops of varying duration. My lessons are build around theoretical sections separated by smaller group assignments or longer simulation games, which makes the theoretical basis more practice-oriented.
The Goal
The goal is to bring other peoples ways of thinking and reaction to the participants attention and thereby enable them to avoid the formation of destructive prejustice and stereotypes and to communicate conscious thereof.
